Off to Batten Down the Hatches

I'm unplugging today to finish our prep for Tropical Storm Isaac and check on family to make sure everyone else is ready. This is by no means our first time weathering a storm, and our house has survived much worse, so I expect we'll be fine. I'm sending out my prayers for everyone who has already evacuated from the islands and the Keys, and hope all of you who live in areas under watches or warnings stay safe.

    1. Thanks, Donna. We got through with only a minimal amount of hassle here.

  2. Consider me chastened. We're in Bonita Springs in a mobile home and batten-ing as well. I'm sure we'll be fine, but my thoughts go to those who might not be. Anyway, see you on the other side!

  3. Take care, Lynn and let us know as soon as the storm passes that you're all right. Fionaphoenix and anyone else in it's path too!

    1. I was really surprised how well we came through this. The rain, wind and lightning got pretty ugly a few times, and we had a few tense moments when a tornado warning was issued for the area my guy was working in, but otherwise it wasn't as bad as the forecasters were predicting. Thank heavens.
